The process

Each dash panel, regardless of the make, model or year starts out as an 8×4 foot sheet of baltic birch plywood.  This particular grade of plywood, being a very high ‘furniture’ grade is comprised of 9 layers or ‘plys’ which makes this plywood extremely durable and long lasting in all weather conditions.

The sheet, is cut down into dash sized panels or ‘blanks’ from which the classic lines of the chosen dash will soon emerge. First however, should the customer wish to have a fully finished dash a veneer must be chosen.  Depending on tastes or likes a rich and luxurious burl walnut might be the choice or perhaps a standard crown cut or long grin wood is chosen.
